⌈ CHARACTER SECTION ⌉

Character: Ramesses II (or as he prefers; Ozymandias)
Age: physically early 20s, Oz specifies his appearance as a heroic spirit, at the height of his power, is when his wife Nefertari gave birth to their second child.
Canon: Fate/Grand Order
Canon Point: After the Final Singularity

Background: on the general Fate/ wiki! Note that while I am playing him from Fate/Grand Order, he does have some recollection of the events of Fate/Prototype.
also just in case; Ramesses II on wikipedia

Personality:
Ozymandias is exactly the type of person you'd expect someone who refers to themself in the third person as "pharaoh" to be. He's incredibly proud and commanding, retaining an imperious and overpowering temperament even without his kingdom to back up his power. After all, a pharaoh is a "god-king," whose rule is divinely ordained by the godly blood that runs in their veins. Specifically, Oz claims the blood of Ra (either as the son of Ra or his direct incarnation.), as well as the blessing of many other gods. He is loud and often condescending, but in the same hand, this is a man who was called "Ramesses the Great," and for good reason. If you can get past the obnoxious exterior, you'll find a sharp witted man with a lot of love in his heart.

Being of Ra, Ozymandias' presence can be likened to the sun. When he's engaged he is vibrant, energetic, radiant even. He's a man who laughs long and often, though granted this is just as often in pleasure as it is in derision. He's an old heroic spirit, but one who enthusiastically enjoys new experiences in the modern world. However, the sun is also fiery and dangerous, and as much as his good moods are bright, his bad moods are fierce and overpowering, and just as easy to provoke as his good ones. Oz is a man with a hot temper, though it is surprisingly easy to talk him down, as long as you know the right thing to say. He is a man of many strong moods, but moves between them with startling quickness. He can be fighting you to the death one minute, and the next sit down and resume casual conversation as if nothing has happened. He'll call you a fool and compliment you in the same breath. A lot of his behavior is some level of artifice, because he's a spirit who's committed to his role as an imperious Pharaoh, and thus he must Act a Certain Way, and as Ritsuka laments in the Camelot singularity, "can't be honest with his feelings." His fondness for her is in large part because she reminds her of his sworn brother Moses, but he denies this on multiple occasions. His voice line on the players birthday has him explain that he doesn't care and CANNOT care, because all his people are ruled equally. But also if there is something you'd like you should tell him.

Of course, his greatest love was his first wife, Nefertari. Married shortly before his coronation and only separate by her death, the love they shared is clear both in the influence she held in Egypt's diplomacy and in the poetry Ramesses wrote about and to her frequently. (This is actual historical fact, it's really sweet.) If allowed, Oz can and will wax poetic on her qualities for hours, and when he suspected a man who had summoned him had robbed her tomb, he was prepared to kill him where he stood. His second love after Nefertari is All The People of Egypt, and his profile said his people loved him in return. Unlike the other loud gold egomaniac in Fate, Ozymandias is deeply dedicated to the protection and prosperity of his subjects. That said, as much as he clearly is capable of caring deeply and widely, he's still Pharaoh and feels his affection must be given in an abstract and somewhat removed way (save for Nefertari, of course). He cannot play favorites, he must only do his job to support their growth. This is seen best with Nitocris, another Pharaoh, though a far less well known one, leaving her rather self conscious. Over the course of several interludes (both hers and Oz's,) he's pushed her to embrace her authority and become stronger, which she has done, her role slowly changing from "The Sun King's Servant" to "Pharaoh Nitocris, who minds Pharaoh Ozymandias." After all, with no one to govern or do battle with, Oz is prone to holing up in his Ramesseum and falling into Moods.

Oz's allegiance is hard won, but attainable. He says that he will consider temporarily following one who has the "disposition of a king," which has less to do with actual royalty, and more as a concept, Ritsuka being one of these people. While stubborn and proud, he isn't stupid, particularly when it comes to ruling. After all, the peace treaty Egypt formed with the Hittites under his rule was one of the first recorded in the world. If you can get him to treat you on somewhat equal footing, whether through boldness, intelligence, or strength, he's able to negotiate. That said, even with people he respects like Ritsuka and Nitocris, he's often difficult and hard to get a straight answer out of, particularly if he's in a bad mood. If you manage to work out what the problem is, he will praise you, as if he wasn't the cause of the problem in the first place. In some ways, he's very paternal in how he interacts with others. Everything is an opportunity to make you stronger and more capable, and also here, Father will give you this gift, take these baby Noble Phantasms, but don't tell your mother because I have no idea how dangerous they are. He also lends Cleopatra his Pyramid noble phantasm so that she can literally crash the Halloween event. It makes sense, given that he had about 100 children in his life, though of course he would say that all the people of Egypt are his children. He doesn't have the warm nurturing aspect of being a parent. After all, that was likely left for their mothers. But he has that abstract, somewhat distant presence of a traditional old fashioned father.

Now, despite being a demigod, he does not in fact expect absolute obedience from everyone he meets. He has his subjects, his own kingdom. That's his domain. He does, however, expect deference as one would give any foreign king. When this isn't given, he will threaten to bring down his godly wrath. He isn't loathe to put his money where his mouth is in that respect, however he doesn't necessarily always hate being challenged. Because Ozymandias is acutely aware of the narrative role he plays, the "tyrant king" who opposes great heroes. And in fact, he seems to be fond of those brave heroes. Most notably Arash, a Persian heroic spirit who seems to have left an impression on Oz by defeating him. Both in the final battle against Solomon as well as in one of Nero's Festival events, Oz has refused to participate - until Arash shows up, at which point he is raring to go. Similarly, in his second interlude, he reprimands Arthur, the other hero who defeated him previously, for not doing his job properly. It makes his assertion that he is a villain seem strange, but this is probably rooted in his role as the Pharaoh of Exodus who opposed Moses. While as a spirit he only remembers Moses fondly, regretting his actions in life, a heroic spirit is formed from the collective conscious. So therefore in his nature he is one who opposes, regardless of his personal feelings. He claims that "Pharaoh Ozymandias cannot save the world," however that does not mean he doesn't wish to. He doesn't have the heroic recklessness to attempt such a lofty goal when it feels impossible to him, though a hero with such qualities might inspire him to try.

Abilities: OH BOY, WELL.
- Riding: The supernatural ability to "ride" anything, including modern vehicles. Having this skill means Oz can instinctively operate any modern vehicle, as well as mount any creature aside from dragons.
- Magic Resistance: Oz has low level magic resistance that allows him to shrug off basic level spells.
- Magecraft: While Oz denies being one and even derides mages and their spells, he has demonstrated a significant level of ability in it,  or at least an understanding of it, being knowledgeable enough to critique a mage's technique, and his Noble Phantasm necessitating great magical ability to use. He seems knowledgeable in the use of familiars and scrying, but his specific expertise beyond that is unclear.
- Noble Phantasms: I'm gonna link each one for the full info but only explain how I'm nerfing each one to function for the game!
- Great Temple Complex Ramesseum Tentyris: Oz can turn any enclosed room he stands inside into one of the rooms of the Ramesseum (many of these rooms will be open to the air, and outside is a great desert. However it is impossible to cross the threshold, despite feeling the warmth and breeze coming in). It will still be nigh impossible to kill him within it, though it will be possible to damage him. A mortal wound will still occur, but he won't die from it, unless he leaves the room under the Ramesseum's effect. This invulnerability is also now an active effect rather than a passive one, meaning he can't use any other magic while it's up. The more severe a wound he suffers, the longer it will take for him to recover from it within the Ramesseum.
He can also use the Ramesseum's curse capabilities, but in this state it is only strong enough to kill small bugs, anything human sized will feel vaguely nauseous at worst.
- Solar Barge Mesektet: While he cannot summon the barge itself, Oz is able to call down the solar fire as attacks, though they get weaker the more he uses it in one day.
- The Sphinx of Abu el-Hol: reduced to only a single entity, the lion cub sized Awlad. It can still shoot lasers out of its face, but it's mostly harmless.

Alignment: Sosyne; Being inordinately prideful means it's really easy to get this guy angry/irritated. His default volume is almost yelling, frankly. When he's not being outraged, he is actually relatively low energy, content to sit around and laze, but he's also the type to get excited about new experiences.

Other: I stand by this post as an accurate summary of Oz's character conflict
